Savoring the Off-Season: A Guest Chef Dinner with Katherine Larson

Italian sweet peppers (stored for the winter) are one of the vegetables from Dukes Farm that will be featured at the tasting dinner

Getting cabin fever after a seriously snowy February in the Upper Peninsula?  Hungry for some local food, even though you can’t yet see over your snowbank to the next growing season?

Dukes Farm is proud to be affiliated with a tasting dinner taking place this weekend at the Zephyr Wine Bar, in Marquette, on March 3rd and 4th.  You can learn more, and reserve a spot by calling Everyday Wines, at 906-225-5470.

Shallots, which have no problem storing even a year after harvest, will also be featured at the dinner

The event will feature local vegetables, including Dukes Farm’s Italian sweet peppers and shallots; foods from other local farms; and natural and regional wines.

Guest chef Katherine Larson, who writes a local food column, will be creating and presenting the dinner.

Dukes Farm appreciates Katherine’s efforts to host such an interesting event in the community!
